We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team as we move toward a successful launch and long-term operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Head Chef is responsible for driving the culinary direction of the restaurant under a well-defined concept and menu vision. This role will focus on finalizing recipe execution, leading back-of-house operations, training kitchen staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen management.
This is a leadership position for someone who is passionate about food, thrives under pressure, and knows how to run a clean, organized, high-performance kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations across all service periods: brunch, lunch, and dinner
- Finalize and execute recipes for all menu items
- Create and present meals that meet the highest culinary standards and align with guest expectations.
- Design upscale menus and innovative daily specials, including dishes for exclusive events.
- Create prep lists, batch systems, and kitchen SOPs to ensure consistency
- Train and mentor BOH staff, assign stations, and supervise team performance
- Monitor inventory, food costs, and kitchen waste with precision
- Uphold food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards at all times
- Collaborate with ownership and management to ensure a strong, aligned guest experience
- Adjust and improve menu items based on seasonality, cost, and feedback
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in upscale or boutique restaurant kitchens
- Formal culinary training or apprenticeship.
- Prior experience as Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Sous Chef with staff management
- Experience leading or supporting restaurant launches highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food costing, prep systems, and commercial kitchen flow
- Ability to train and inspire kitchen staff with positive leadership and clear expectations
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be calm under pressure, organized, and confident in high-volume service
- Passion for quality ingredients, elegant plating, and guest experience
- Experience with New American, or fusion cuisines.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
