Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Title Searcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate law and title processing, along with excellent research skills. As a Title Searcher, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into property titles, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. Your expertise will play a crucial role in facilitating smooth real estate transactions and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive title searches to identify property ownership and any encumbrances or liens.
- Reliable transportation to travel and search different counties. Our territories are Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri.
- Will need a Title Producer License (or be willing to acquire it while employed), and maintain state requirements of retaining the license.
- Analyze legal documents related to real estate transactions, including deeds, mortgages, and court records.
- Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to assist in property research and mapping.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings from title searches for clients and legal teams.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding title issues.
- Maintain organized records of all title searches and related documentation.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of real estate law and title processing procedures.
- Proficient in research techniques and methodologies to gather relevant information efficiently.
- Familiarity, or willing to learn, how to use Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for property analysis.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
