Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee operations within our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair, along with exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively. Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the automotive service department, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and customer service.
- Manage conflict resolution among staff and customers, fostering a positive work environment.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular training sessions on automotive repair techniques, including manual transmission and flatbed operations.
- Maintain inventory levels of tools and parts necessary for repairs, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
- Ensure that all vehicles are serviced in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair and diagnostics, with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices; experience with tow trucks is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills to effectively handle customer inquiries and staff issues.
- Experience operating forklifts and other machinery related to automotive service operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
