Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traveling Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of simulation equipment systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, foundational construction knowledge, and familiarity with cabling/wiring, ensuring that all installations meet safety and quality standards.
This is a 1099 position. Candidate MUST live within an hour of Philadelphia airport and be willing to travel Mon - Fri every week, primarily in their personal vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain simulation equipment according to company standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing installations when needed, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Read and interpret schematics to effectively execute installation plans.
- Utilize a variety of tools such as drills, saws, ladders, etc.
- Perform cabling tasks, ensuring proper routing and securing of wires.
- Ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols.
- Engage in telecommunication tasks as needed for system integration.
- Build relationships with clients by providing exceptional service during installations.
What you need:
- Basic foundational construction skills
- Familiarity with technology components (HDMI, Display ports, etc)
- Willingness to travel Monday - Friday every week
- Willingness to use your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement)
- Your own tools
- Ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
