Northwest Animal Hospital is growing and we are seeking experienced Veterinary Receptionists to join our team. If you are an enthusiastic, organized, and focused team player, we want to hear from you!
Candidates for this position must have flexible availability during our business hours: Monday – Friday 7:30a-6:30p and Saturday – Sunday 8:30a-5:00p. You must be able to work Sundays to be considered for this position.
Our hospital is dedicated to total pet wellness for our small animal family members. Our doctors provide a full range of veterinary care for dogs, cats and exotics. We are proud to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, holding us to the highest standard of pet care and customer service. This Veterinary Receptionist position is an active position with room for growth. The primary purpose of this position is to exceed our clients’ expectations for outstanding client service while creating a warm and welcoming impression.
Major duties of the position include (but are not limited to):
- Provide excellent service to our clients
- Answer multi-line telephones, direct calls, take messages
- Schedule appointments
- Keep the front desk and lobby clean and welcoming
- Maintain medical records
- Conduct financial transactions
- Reply to emails and faxes
- Assist doctors and technicians as needed
Qualifications:
- Ability to work long shifts of 7:30am to 6:30pm M-F, and 8am-5pm Saturday/Sunday.
- Friendly, outgoing “people person” eager to develop strong bonds with clients
- Reliable, positive, and team oriented
- Ability to act quickly and calmly to varying situations
- Experience with AVImark is a plus.
- Experience as a Veterinary Receptionist preferred, but we will train the aspects of veterinary medicine to the right individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service environment.
