About the Position
Responsible for leading the company's activities related to its mergers and acquisitions strategy, sourcing, and deal mechanics. This role requires a seasoned professional to oversee the end-to-end M&A process, including market analysis, deal sourcing and execution, encompassing financial, commercial, and legal due diligence, LOI, SPA negotiations, and closing. This role will collaborate with executive leadership to identify and execute transactions that align with the company’s growth objectives and long-term strategic goals.

  • Proven track record of leading complex M&A transactions from strategy through integration, including due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and post-close execution.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in building investment theses, conducting financial modeling, and assessing risk across a portfolio of potential deals.
  • Skilled at developing strategic partnerships and identifying growth opportunities aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional leader with the ability to influence executive teams, manage external advisors, and drive alignment across finance, legal, operations, and executive stakeholders.

Day in the Life

  • Develops and executes the company’s M&A strategy in collaboration with executive leadership to support corporate growth and diversification.


  • Identifies and evaluates potential acquisitions or partnership opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals.


  • Maintains a network of relationships in the industry and advisor community to support identification of trends and opportunities and to stay abreast of the competitive landscape.


  • Evaluates target companies' financial performance, market positioning, and strategic fit.


  • Lead valuation modeling, synergy evaluation, and strategic assessment of deals.


  • Oversees all phases of deal execution - from Letter of Intent and Non-Disclosure Agreement to closing.


  • Builds and maintains relationships with investment banks, advisors, and other deal originators.


  • Assesses acquisition targets and partnerships through financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment.


  • Leads negotiations, including structure, terms, and pricing of deals.


  • Work closely with Finance during due diligence processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams and external advisors.

  • Prepares and presents recommendations and deal structures to the executive team and board of directors.

  • Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.

  • Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.

  • Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices.

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.


  • 10+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.


  • Relevant experience in the construction or adjacent industry.


  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions from start to finish.


  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with deep knowledge of valuation techniques and methodologies.


  • Exceptional negotiation and project management skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations related to M&A transactions.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high quality documentation and report preparation.

  • Travel
    • Frequent travel may be required.
