Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail establishment and manage social media and customer database and host events around town and at the shop in collaboration with wine producers, BBQ chefs and others. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, and driving sales growth while maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, open to close, stocking shelves, making signs, marketing strategies, and growing the business
- Customer service is HIGHEST priority and must be good with people but not too talkative. Looking for someone with a calm and cool demeaner who is pleasant to be around.
- Educate customers on cigars and tobacco and learn all brands-become a true Certified Tobacconist University graduate (paid for by shop)
- Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and maintaining financial integrity.
- Conduct daily checklists to meet sales goals, track marketing efforts and social media leads to generate more customers
- Post on social media and build out social media campaigns and email campaigns
- Develop and implement effective sales management strategies to enhance store performance.
- Maintain inventory levels by managing stock efficiently, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
- Create budgets and monitor expenses to ensure the shop operates within financial guidelines.
- Clean shop daily and make sure all shelves and displays are clean and organized to highest standards
- Must wear a suit or dress shirt and tie, dress shoes at all times. (Shop will help purchase clothing as needed)
Skills
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Proven leadership abilities
- Familiarity with payroll systems and budgeting processes is essential.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales management experience with a focus on achieving targets and driving revenue growth.
- Graphic design of flyers and email blasts and social media postings
- Host "podcasts" in the humidor educating customers on tobacco and cigars and factories
- Host cigar events and set up shop for high traffic and work with shop owners to manage events and customer needs
- Sales bonuses for meeting sales goals and commissions
