Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations including safe loading and unloading, proper inventory control, and maintaining an organized storage area.
- Ensure accurate and timely inbound and outbound inventory management, including verification, labeling, and storage according to company procedures.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards to reduce injuries and prevent damage to property and goods.
- Train and guide warehouse staff on job performance, loading standards, and safety practices.
- Coordinate and dispatch moving teams daily based on job schedules, employee qualifications, and vehicle availability.
- Arrange pickup and delivery of shipments using commercial vehicles and authorized drivers, ensuring efficient routing and minimal delay.
- Determine staffing levels and assign daily workloads for warehouse and moving teams to meet operational capacity.
- Maintain a real-time pipeline of available staff; assist with scheduling, manpower planning, and hotel/roadside logistics as needed.
- Use CRM systems and automated work order platforms to assign, track, and close service orders.
- Report job performance, safety incidents, and team metrics to upper management and HR.
- Work with Operations to maintain fleet service schedules and ensure vehicles are rotated for maintenance.
- Maintain daily and weekly warehouse and move-related reports, including internal reviews of mover performance.
- Interface with customer service teams to resolve issues or provide updates regarding shipments and inventory status.
- Assist with opening and closing of the warehouse, maintaining cleanliness and readiness for operations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, dispatching, or logistics, preferably in the moving or household goods industry.
- At least 2 years of forklift operation experience (certification preferred).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), along with statistical and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital work order platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand data connections and make sound operational decisions.
- Must be able to work independently and in fast-paced environments, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and blueprints is a plus.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
