Position description
The Weekend Coordinator supervises the operations of the Family Ties Program during court-ordered visitation and oversees the work of the program’s Roamers and Observers. The position opens and closes the visitation center, sets staff schedules and work assignments, addresses conflicts with clients and/or staff, handles emergencies as they arise, ensures deputies are present and carrying out their duties, and fills in for lesser roles when necessary.
The Weekend Coordinator reports directly to the Program Coordinator, advising of any staffing, client, security, or operational issues, and performs other duties as assigned. Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor’s degree in education or social sciences preferred. Progressively responsible work and/or supervisory experience may substitute for the recommended college training on a year-for-year basis. Previous experience as an Observer/Monitor with Family Ties or other supervised visitation program preferred. Bilingual in Spanish desirable. The Weekend Coordinator must be available to work Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Center closed on holiday weekends.) Required to work two full weekends a month.
This is a contract position with no benefits. Orange County funded.
