YACHT AV TECHNICIAN SCOPE:
Technology is the fastest moving component on any yacht.
- We are seeking candidates that have experience with Crestron. Crestron is the AV standard within the yachting industry for it’s ability to connect 3rd party devices, integrating new technology into the system as well as troubleshooting.
- Must have basic understanding of the communication protocols between devices & Crestron control processors.
- Knowledge with various “yacht friendly” third party entertainment & audio vendors.
- Experience with satellite providers & global coverage. Understanding the role power & ethernet play.

Kaleidescape
KNX Systems
Lutron
Responsibilities Required:
- Execute solid customer service skills while acting as a liaison between the end-user, other IT personnel, and the equipment.
- Responsible for the design, engineering, testing, & support of complex audio/visual systems including automation, distributed audio & video, security, surveillance, lighting control & motorized window treatments.
- Properly evaluate issues & diagnose those that are potential problems to management or a third-party vendor (if applicable).
- Provide end-user instructions and guidance for user friendly operated items/tasks.
- Accurately record, update & document requests utilizing the CRM and ticketing tools & any other duties assigned by the company.
- Positive interaction with users when utilizing AV setups ensuring a good outcome.
- Proactive communication regarding work delays/issues to management as they occur, thus initiating service/calls & support needed to resolve issues.
- Weekend and/or after-hour coverage required on occasion.
- Travel expected throughout South Florida & on occasion abroad, both nationally and internationally.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in the AV industry in a support or installer role. Maritime industry preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Solution-focused while thriving in a fast pace environment with ever-changing priorities.
Salary:
$25.00-$40.00 per hour
Requirements:
- Valid passport for ability to travel internationally
- Hours are 8 am-5 pm EST
- May require weekend or after-hour coverage on occasion
- This is a drug free environment. The yachting industry has strict Maritime laws to abide by.
- Background check will be performed.

- Our man office is located in Fort Lauderdale, 33315 with travel required to West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale & Miami.
- Occasionally, out-of-state and international travel will be required.
