Responsibilities
- Provide lacrosse coaching and instruction to fifth and sixth graders.
- Plan and organize practice sessions, drills, and game strategies
- Teach fundamental skills and techniques to improve performance
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of athletes or participants
- Provide guidance and support to athletes or participants in achieving their goals
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive behavior among athletes or participants
- Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and competitions
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate schedules and events
Skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in sports coaching, particularly in lacrosse
- Ability to effectively communicate and educate athletes
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with athletes and their families
- Proficient in behavior management techniques to maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment
- Ability to adapt coaching methods to meet the needs of individual athletes or participants
- Lacrosse experience is necessary
- Coaching experience is critical for working with younger athletes or participants
