· Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining network, telecommunications, and/or systems hardware/software; analyzing hardware/software failures, connectivity, and monitoring systems/networks to ensure availability to all users; performing necessary network maintenance, telecommunications, and/or systems availability; and developing/implementing information security policies.
· Responsible for designing system architecture templates that will serve as the basis for most customer installations, requiring only minor adjustments (user counts, physical requirements, etc.) to meet the needs of those locations.
· Design, develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions Install and configure voice gateways as part of the IP telephony system
· Maintain enterprise technical infrastructure resources;
· Design, install, configure, monitor, and maintain network systems;
· Ensure availability by performing necessary maintenance of medium to large-sized networks, telecommunications or systems availability;
· Develop and implement information security policies;
· Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.
Position Requirements
· Applied knowledge of the systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, documentation development, control gates, and system verification
· Must be able to design detailed equipment rack elevations showing component level detail, and all associated connectivity using Visio or similar tool.
· Must be comfortable interacting will customer representatives of various backgrounds and authority.
· Must be willing to work at customer site in Washington DC metropolitan area.
· BS/BA or equivalent experience with telecommunications services.
· Minimum 5 years of related experience in requirements analysis, project planning, and resource management, strong analytical and technical skills related to IT projects to assist in implementing project objectives and solutions
· At least (10) years of experience on VOIP projects.
· Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
· Avaya Certification
· Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
