Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes for HVAC Electrical products and assemblies.
  • Create and update work instructions, standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Support production readiness activities for new products, engineering changes, and process improvements.
  • Assist in workstation design, material presentation, and manufacturing layout optimization.
  • Support line balancing and capacity planning activities to improve productivity and throughput.
  • Participate in the validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Support implementation of Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and SMED.
  • Contribute to projects that improve productivity, reduce scrap, and optimize operational performance.

Operational Performance

  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing performance metrics including FPY, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and throughput.
  • Support production teams in achieving operational targets and resolving performance gaps.
  • Conduct time studies and assist in establishing labor standards.
  • Participate in capacity and resource planning activities.

Quality & Problem Solving

  • Support root cause investigations related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity issues.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve process reliability.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to improve process capability and reduce defects.
  • Support compliance with customer, regulatory, and company quality standards.
  • Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, and process risk assessment activities.

Equipment & Technology

  • Support installation, qualification, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  • Assist in evaluating manufacturing technologies and automation opportunities.
  • Support equipment troubleshooting and process validation activities.
  • Participate in capital projects by providing technical input and manufacturing requirements.

Safety & Ergonomics

  • Promote a safe work environment through compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and ergonomic assessments.
  • Support implementation of corrective actions to eliminate or reduce workplace risks.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes are designed with safety as a primary consideration.

Training & Technical Support

  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing engineering support to production teams.
  • Assist in developing and delivering operator training on manufacturing processes and standard work.
  • Support qualification and certification activities for new manufacturing processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process improvements.

Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in HVAC, Liquid Cooling, thermal management, metal fabrication, sheet metal, assembly, welding, brazing, painting, fastening, electronics, or similar manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Experience supporting production operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and/or Liquid Cooling products, heat exchangers, cooling systems, or thermal management solutions is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA, or Creo preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and Core Quality Tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
