As a community-supported charitable organisation, we are seeking an experienced insights and CRM database lead to join Northern Rescue to grow community engagement and strengthen long-term fundraising growth for the provision of this amazing, lifesaving and life-changing service.

We are seeking an experienced Insights & Database Manager to lead the integrity, governance, analysis, and strategic use of Northern Rescue’s fundraising and supporter data.
Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing, this specialist role plays a critical part in enabling evidence-based decision-making and supporting sustainable fundraising growth across the organisation.
This role goes beyond database administration. You will translate complex data into meaningful insights that strengthen fundraising performance, optimise supporter engagement, and help shape strategic direction across fundraising, events, communications, and marketing functions.
You will work closely with the Fundraising Leadership Team to ensure Northern Rescue’s CRM and data assets become a true strategic advantage for the organisation.
What you’ll do
- Lead the optimisation and strategic development of Northern Rescue's CRM and data environment
- Deliver reporting, forecasting, dashboards, and insights that support fundraising growth and decision-making
- Analyse supporter and donor behaviour to identify opportunities for engagement, retention, and revenue growth
- Lead data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance practices
- Partner with fundraising, marketing, communications, and events teams to support planning and performance evaluation
- Build organisational capability through training, support, and continuous improvement initiatives

You are a highly analytical and commercially minded data professional who can combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and strong stakeholder engagement capability; and you want to do that in purpose led organisation.
You will bring:
- Experience in CRM, database management, business intelligence, insights, or analytics roles
- The ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, forecasting, or performance insights to support business decision-making
- Strong systems thinking and a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence non-technical stakeholders
- Experience maintaining data quality, governance, privacy, and compliance standards
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
- A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to contribute to a purpose-led organisation
Experience using customer, member, donor, supporter, or stakeholder data to improve engagement, retention, and performance outcomes.
