Salary: $125,926 - $139,459 dependent on experience

This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to complex, organisation-wide challenges.
As our Senior Data & Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll work with data from multiple and sometimes unrelated sources, designing data models and developing interactive Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that give leaders meaningful insight into organisational performance. You’ll undertake deep-dive analysis, identify trends and opportunities, and translate complex findings into clear recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
Key areas of focus include:
- Developing Power BI dashboards and reports, using DAX, data modelling and visualisation best practice
- Utilising your understanding of Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable
- Extracting, integrating and analysing data from multiple sources
- Translating business requirements into technical reporting and data solutions
- Establishing meaningful metrics and KPIs and undertaking deep-dive analysis
- Working with business and technology teams to deliver practical, data-driven solutions
The role sits within Tamariki and Whānau Services group and reports to the Manager Business Optimisation. You’ll work across functions and with senior leaders, business owners, regional teams, EPMO and technology colleagues, giving you the opportunity to influence how data and technology are used across a complex national organisation.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
You’ll be an experienced analyst with the technical depth to build solutions and the ability to communicate your insights clearly.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Strong Power BI expertise, including DAX, data modelling and data visualisation
- Experience extracting and integrating data from disparate sources
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and data modelling capability
- Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with process or workflow tools
- Exposure to data governance or master data management
- The ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical and senior stakeholders
- Experience working in transformation, process improvement or change environments.
A relevant tertiary qualification or certification in data analysis, insights or reporting is highly desirable, alongside 4+ years’ relevant experience.
