Nordic Hyperscale Tech AB (NH TECH) is an international technical company working with data centre infrastructure in Sweden and across Europe. We deliver fibre optic and structured cabling, technical works and Smart Hands support. Our teams are international and work in live, critical environments as well as construction sites.
The role
We are growing our HSE team in Sweden and are looking for a Junior HSE Officer who will work closely with our technicians on site. A large part of our field workforce speaks Romanian or Russian, so the key part of this role is to make safety clear and practical for them – explaining rules, running inductions and toolbox talks, and being the person they can easily talk to.
You will work alongside our HSE team, with travel between project sites in the Gävle area.
What you will do
- Run site inductions and toolbox talks
- Carry out safety walks and inspections together with team leaders
- Help prepare and explain risk assessments and safe work methods
- Report and follow up incidents and near misses
- Follow up on PPE, training and certificates
- Translate and explain safety instructions for the technicians when needed
- Support the HSE team with documentation and client requirements
What we are looking for
- Some practical HSE / safety experience from Data Center, construction, industry, energy or another technical environment
- English at a good working level
- Romanian or Russian at a fluent level – required (one of them is enough), as you will communicate daily with technicians in these languages
- Confidence to speak up and stop unsafe work
- Driving licence (B)
- Organised, reliable and comfortable working on site
It is an advantage if you have
- Work experience in Sweden or Scandinavia
- NEBOSH (e.g. International General Certificate), IOSH Managing Safely or a similar HSE qualification
- Experience from data centres or electrical / telecom projects
- Swedish
Good to know
- You need to have the right to work in Sweden (for example EU/EEA citizenship). We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
