Accounting and HR manager role with a medium sized European MNC
Job description
• Has an accounting qualification with office administration experience
• Added exposure to doing the accounts for a Thailand entity is preferred (but not a must)
• Hands-on, flexible, and willing to work in a broad role covering some HR support/payroll/office administration functions for a medium setup (of 30+ to 40 staff).
Our client is a renowned European-listed MNC in the luxury home appliance sector. The company is a well-established market leader and a recognised household name, with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and premium products.
The company’s office is conveniently located approximately two bus stops from Tiong Bahru MRT station. Employees work 100% from the office, fostering a collaborative and engaging working environment.
This is a full-time and permanent role. This is a dual coverage role:
-around 60% on accounting ( for the Thailand books only)
-around 40% on office admin/HR support (Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)
For the office administration aspect, this will involve supporting a Singapore office of around 30 staff and another 8 staff in 2 overseas offices in Vietnam and Thailand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTING (around 60 % of the time):
• Handle the full set of accounts for the Thailand entity independently
• Maintain accurate general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable records
• Prepare and post accounting entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
• Prepare monthly closing and financial reports accurately and on time
• Prepare VAT, withholding tax and other statutory tax filings in accordance with Thailand requirements, including submissions through relevant Thai government portals/systems
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks and relevant authorities
• Support annual audit and corporate income tax filing
• Assist with cash planning, working capital monitoring and ad-hoc finance reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting information required by the SEA Finance Director and HQ
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, internal controls and local statutory requirements
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation for audit purposes
•Process or coordinate statutory and government payments and ensure submissions and payments are completed by the required deadlines
OFFICE ADMIN/HR SUPPORT (around 40% of the time):
Manage day-to-day office administration, vendors and office operations, ensuring the Managing Director is well supported in the smooth running of the office.
•Work with external HR service providers covering HR operations and payroll functions supporting Singapore and the region.
• Provide executive and administrative support to the Managing Director as an integral part of the Office Manager role, including calendar and meeting coordination, travel arrangements, correspondence, administrative follow-ups and other business support as required.
• Support a positive, professional and low-politics workplace culture.
• Work on other office admin functions as directed by regional MD.
Key Requirements
• Diploma or Degree. Has the accounting cerfication/qualification.
• Added exposure doing the accounts for a Thailand entity is preferred (but not a must)
• Added office admin/ HR operations experience will be useful but this is not a must
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional discretion.
• Mature, trustworthy, discreet and able to handle highly confidential information.
• Professional and work-focused (i.e. not engaging in office politics)
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Hands-on, flexible, and willing to take ownership in a broad role covering beyond accounting that can cover HR operations/payroll/office administration for a medium set up (of 30+ to 40 staff).
• People-oriented, dependable, and solutions-focused. Very adaptable and flexible.
• Open to working 100% in the office (2 bus stops away from Tiong Bahru MRT station)

• This role offers some exposure to covering Thailand and Vietnam, in addition to Singapore.
• This role will cover Thailand (accounting books) and other functions such as office admin/ HR operations/ support to the EA.
