We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager / Product Lead to develop digital banking products for SME and corporate customers.
The role covers business account onboarding and servicing, deposits, payments and selected lending capabilities, including embedded finance and cross-border use cases. You will own initiatives from discovery and strategy through delivery and ongoing product operations, using data and customer insights to guide product direction.
You should be comfortable learning unfamiliar domains, structuring ambiguous problems and driving complex initiatives across Business, Technology, Operations, Compliance, AML, Risk, Legal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmap. Identify customer needs, business opportunities and operational challenges, and prioritise initiatives based on business value, customer impact and delivery feasibility.
- Lead product development and delivery. Drive new products and enhancements from discovery and solution design through stakeholder alignment, development, testing, rollout and operational readiness.
- Design solutions and write PRDs. Produce clear Product Requirements Documents covering business objectives, customer journeys, business rules, system requirements and acceptance criteria. Work with Engineering and relevant stakeholders to resolve implementation trade-offs.
- Drive product operations and measurement. Translate business objectives into analytical questions, success metrics and data requirements. Monitor relevant measures such as conversion, STP, turnaround time, funding, deposit growth, usage and retention.
- Turn insights into product decisions. Analyse customer behaviour, funnels and operational bottlenecks; combine findings with customer feedback; prioritise improvements and evaluate their impact on business performance and customer experience.
- Lead cross-functional execution. Clarify ownership, resolve competing requirements and manage dependencies across internal teams and external partners to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Coach and develop junior colleagues. Provide guidance on product thinking, PRDs and delivery, give constructive feedback and share knowledge to help junior team members build confidence and independent judgement.
Job Requirement
7+ years of relevant experience in banking, fintech or related technology roles, including substantial digital product management experience and independent ownership of complex initiatives.
Understanding of financial services and how Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance and Risk work together.
Proven ability to take products from problem definition through implementation, launch and ongoing improvement, including initiatives developed from 0 to 1.
Strong learning agility. Able to quickly understand unfamiliar domains, identify critical business and control requirements, and apply that knowledge to delivery. Resourceful in using research, AI and domain expertise to accelerate learning and problem-solving.
Strong product thinking and requirements-writing skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and communicate clear, implementable solutions through PRDs.
Strong analytical judgement. Able to define the questions that matter, specify the data needed, interpret metrics in context and translate findings into actionable product decisions.
Ability to move between strategy and detailed execution, with sufficient technical understanding to discuss APIs, integrations, system dependencies and implementation trade-offs.
Effective stakeholder management, sound judgement and high autonomy in an environment with ambiguity, changing priorities and concurrent workstreams.
Ability to demonstrate product leadership through coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback, helping junior colleagues improve their product judgement and delivery capability.
Strong written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin to collaborate with regional stakeholders and China-based technology teams.
Preferred Experience
SME or corporate banking, with experience in one or more areas such as onboarding / KYC / KYB, account servicing, deposits, payments or lending.
Embedded finance, banking API integrations or cross-border banking use cases.
Banking process optimisation, operational automation or internal servicing capabilities.
