Job description

Job Summary

Assist in developing and testing control software for industrial machines using C# (.NET) and C++, under the guidance of senior engineers. Support integration of motion control, vision systems and third-party equipment, and work with cross-functional teams on machine bring-up and debugging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test features for handler control software in C# & C++, including machine sequences, device control, and operator GUI to support efficient machine operation
  • Contribute to a common software platform shared across multiple machines, promoting code reuse and consistency
  • Assist in integrating motion control, vision applications, and other vendor equipment to support machine functionality
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, vision, and process engineers to support machine bring-up, debugging, and testing activities
  • Write clean and documented code; participate in code reviews to maintain software quality
  • Support multi-language user interfaces including English and Chinese to accommodate diverse user needs
  • Assist with internal IT setup and support when needed

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; internship or project experience in software development is an advantage
  • Programming knowledge in C# (.NET), C++, or another object-oriented language, with a willingness to primarily work in C#
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented design and multithreading
  • Hands-on attitude, eager to learn, and comfortable working with real machines on the production floor

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Exposure to industrial automation, robotics, motion control, or embedded systems
  • Knowledge of or interest in PC hardware, networking, Windows administration, or IT security
  • Demonstrated passion for technology through personal projects such as home labs, hardware, or software development
  • Familiarity with WPF/WinForms, or modern .NET UI frameworks
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with customers, vendors, and partners
