Cloud Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end operational coordination of weekly accelerated patching cycles and urgent 3-day patching activities, ensuring readiness, execution, escalation, handover and closure.
• Coordinate assigned patch cycles from scope confirmation through testing, deployment, post-patch validation, reconciliation and final closure.
• Maintain patch cycle plans, RACI matrices, action trackers, decision timelines, approvals, dependencies, risks and escalation status.
• Coordinate patching readiness across IT Infrastructure, Open Systems, Middleware, Network, Application, Security, Service Recovery and Change Management teams.
• Track and manage patch scope, CRQ readiness, Vulnerability Risk Assessments (VRAs), approved deferments, exclusions, failed patches, rollback activities and pending validation evidence.
• Coordinate overnight, weekend and public-holiday patching activities, including bridge management, escalation and operational handover to accountable decision owners.
• Define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), control gates, cut-off timelines, escalation paths, duty coverage and exception handling processes for regular and urgent patching activities.
• Coordinate process walkthroughs, readiness reviews, dress rehearsals and BAU transition activities to ensure operational teams are prepared for patch cycles.
• Compile patch closure records and governance evidence, supporting SLA, KORI, KRCSA and audit/control requirements.
• Monitor patching progress and identify process, ownership, dependency and operational gaps, driving timely escalation and resolution.
• Work with Tooling, Data and Automation teams to raise requirements and improve patch tracking, reporting, workflow automation and operational efficiency.
• Ensure appropriate documentation, evidence and audit trails are maintained throughout the patch management lifecycle.
