Job Description Summary

The Facilities Manager will support the assigned scope of services through the operation and management of the available and/or required resources, tools, systems, and processes, including, but not limited to, the assigned Facilities Management team and a range of supporting suppliers, service providers and other stakeholders. Depending on the requirements of the project, the Facilities Manager may work independently or as part of an integrated service delivery team. The Facilities Manager will be responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned tasks, functions, duties, and responsibilities.

About the role

  • Ensure the assigned portfolio complies with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and safety standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day facilities management and operations, including planned/reactive maintenance, inspections, asset upkeep, and site services.
  • Identify and respond effectively to risks, hazards, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Manage vendors and service providers, including contracts, performance, procurement, and supply-chain activities.
  • Manage OPEX/CAPEX budgets, cost control, forecasting, tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present facilities, operational, financial, and performance reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Provide specialist facilities management expertise, driving service improvements, innovation, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate facilities documentation, records, procedures, plans, and reports.
  • Lead and develop the assigned direct and indirect team, including engagement, performance management, and development.
  • Build strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support other business initiatives and responsibilities as required.

About you:

  • Higher Level Qualification / Certification (such as Degree or Diploma) in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Building/ Facilities/ Real Estate Management or related/equivalent course of study.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in comparable roles (including developmental roles)
  • Possess a strong knowledge of complex large-scale building systems and property operations (such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building management and control and/or related systems knowledge and competencies)
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills (ideally multi-lingual)
  • Demonstrable leadership experience with high-performing teams
