The Opportunity

  • Adecco is partnering with public sector to look for a Junior Business Analyst (Public Sector)
  • Responsible for requirements analysis, UAT, system operations, stakeholder and vendor management, project coordination, and governance support.

The Talent

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in business analysis, particularly requirements gathering and analysis, requirements documentation, process analysis, user stories, and UAT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Well organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, take ownership of assigned work, and follow through on deliverables.
  • Knowledge or experience in project management, including tracking timelines, deliverables, risks, and issues, is advantageous.
  • Experience with vendor management, contract management, or vendor performance monitoring is beneficial.
  • Interest or experience in data protection, data governance, compliance, or regulatory environments is advantageous.

Job Description

  • Engage business users to understand operational processes, identify business needs and gaps, and gather and analyse system requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Work closely with technical teams and vendors to clarify requirements and support system development, enhancement, and implementation.
  • Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including preparing test scenarios, coordinating testers, tracking defects, and validating solutions against business requirements.
  • Support day-to-day system operations by triaging issues, investigating problems, coordinating resolutions, and identifying opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Support project management activities, including tracking milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Assist with project governance, reporting, documentation, vendor coordination, and monitoring of vendor deliverables and performance.
  • Maintain relevant project and system documentation and provide administrative support where required.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments and other responsibilities as required.
