Lead Cinema Technical Operations | Support Live Events | Deliver Quality Screenings

Bring your cinema projection expertise and leadership skills to a role where technical precision shapes the audience experience. We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Manager, Projection Management to oversee projection operations, lead the technical team and support screenings and events.

Location: Central Region, SingaporeEmployment Type: Full-timeSchedule: Shift work, including weekends, public holidays and late nights, according to screening and event schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Cinema Projection & Content Management

  • Manage digital content ingestion, playlist creation and scheduling through cinema servers and Theatre/Library Management Systems (TMS/LMS).
  • Ensure films, trailers and advertisements are programmed accurately and played on schedule.
  • Coordinate the delivery, availability and dispatch of Digital Cinema Packages (DCPs) and Key Delivery Messages (KDMs).
  • Operate and monitor digital projection, sound and audiovisual systems during screenings.

Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, safety checks and calibration.
  • Troubleshoot projection, sound and automation issues promptly to minimise disruption.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintain technical documentation, safety procedures and equipment inventory records.

Live Events & AV Support

  • Set up and operate audiovisual systems for live, virtual reality (VR) and hybrid events.
  • Manage signal routing and live video and audio feeds.
  • Support VR equipment, including headsets and sensors.
  • Work with lighting and audio teams on system configuration, testing and rehearsals.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise projection and technical staff, including roster planning, training and performance oversight.
  • Address staff conduct matters and maintain workplace discipline.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and senior management on technical operations and event requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Film Technology, Electronics, AV Engineering, IT or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 3–5 years of cinema projection operations experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of cinema projection equipment, sound systems and digital and film projection formats.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, including during live screenings and events.
  • Experience managing staff, rosters, technical schedules and maintenance plans.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to presentation quality and audience experience.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety, discipline and emergency procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and late nights.
  • Ability to safely lift and move equipment when required for technical setups.
