About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager IT Audit to join our growing team in the Central Region on a full-time basis. This is a strategic position within our IT audit function, where you will lead the design, execution, and delivery of comprehensive IT audit engagements for our clients. As Senior Manager IT Audit, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that organisations maintain robust IT governance, security controls, and compliance frameworks. You will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior team members whilst managing complex audit projects and driving continuous improvement across our audit practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading and managing IT audit engagements from scoping through to final reporting, ensuring delivery of high-quality audit work within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Developing comprehensive IT audit strategies and programmes tailored to client needs, including risk assessments and control evaluations across infrastructure, applications, security, and operations
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of IT governance structures, policies, and controls within client organisations
  • Assessing IT security posture, including vulnerability management, access controls, data protection, and incident response capabilities
  • Identifying, documenting, and communicating audit findings and recommendations to senior management and audit committees
  • Supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior audit staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring quality standards are maintained
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate these into effective audit objectives
  • Staying current with emerging IT risks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in IT audit and cybersecurity
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of IT audit methodologies, tools, and templates
  • Managing client relationships professionally and building trust through clear communication and delivery of value

What we're looking for

  • Professional qualification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or equivalent recognised IT audit or security certification
  • Minimum 8-10 years of IT audit or IT risk management experience, with at least 3-4 years in a senior or management role
  • Demonstrated experience leading IT audit engagements across multiple domains, including IT governance, IT security, systems controls, and IT operations
  • Strong understanding of IT control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or similar standards
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to IT functions, including data protection regulations and industry-specific compliance standards
  • Proficiency in IT audit tools, techniques, and methodologies, with experience in data analytics and audit sampling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Leadership and people management experience, with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred experience in risk advisory, consulting, or working with financial services, healthcare, or technology sector clients
