Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java server-side applications for a high-performance, real-time E-Trading platform.
• Design, develop and enhance backend services and business logic, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance of trading applications.
• Collaborate with Web UI Developers to integrate backend services with front-end applications. Exposure to React.js and basic front-end development will be an advantage.
• Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, application reliability and regression coverage.
• Participate in peer code reviews and technical design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to maintain high development standards.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand requirements, clarify technical details and deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
• Support application deployment, release management and production activities, including rotational participation in operational and deployment tasks.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive deployment, release and operational processes using appropriate tools and scripting.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root-cause analysis and support production incidents when required.
• Prepare and deliver application demonstrations to business users and stakeholders, where required.
