Software Engineer

Salary: $4,000 – $4,500 per month

About the role

As a Software Engineer at Sustenir, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and integrating software and operational technology systems that support business operations and performance. The role covers ERP and VAN sales system integration, web application development, Microsoft 365 administration, IT infrastructure and end-user support. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and remote development teams to deliver reliable, secure and efficient technology solutions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain software applications and IT systems to support business and operational requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing web applications, internal systems and business applications.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and remote development teams to develop, maintain and improve the ERP system.
• Lead the integration and readiness of the ERP and VAN sales handheld systems, including hardware deployment, system configuration and connectivity.
• Support technology-enabled van sales operations, including route optimization and integration between sales, inventory and ERP systems.
• Administer and manage Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Maintain local servers, network infrastructure and related IT systems to ensure reliability, security and performance.
• Manage domain, DNS and related cloud services.
• Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment for new employees.
• Provide first-line and second-line IT support, including troubleshooting of Wi-Fi, network, hardware, software and printer issues.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT/software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably AWS, including ECS, ECR, EC2, RDS and Route 53.
• Experience with domain and DNS management.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages/frameworks such as PHP, Node.js, Python and React.js.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
• Good understanding of basic networking, Wi-Fi configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience in hardware setup, software installation and end-user IT support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
