System Engineer

Salary: $4,500 – $5,500 per month

About the role

We are seeking a System Engineer to join RiDiK, a subsidiary of CLPS (Nasdaq: CLPS), in our Singapore River Central Region office. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure and systems within our organisation. As a System Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT systems and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across our operations. What you'll be doing

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level systems and network infrastructure to support business operations
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and security to ensure optimal uptime and reliability
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions across multiple systems and platforms
• Conduct regular system audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
• Implement and maintain system security protocols, patches, and updates to protect against vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored technical solutions
• Document system configurations, procedures, and processes to maintain comprehensive technical records
• Provide technical support to end-users and assist with system migrations and upgrades
• Maintain detailed records of system changes and maintain version control for all configurations

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in systems administration or network infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server, Linux, and cloud-based platforms
• Demonstrated expertise in network configuration, TCP/IP protocols, and network security
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar solutions
• Proficiency in system monitoring and management tools and software
• Knowledge of IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Associate, or Cisco certifications are highly desirable
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools is advantageous
