Job Title: Project Lead, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC)
Location: Eagle Academy 279 Chancellor Ave Newark, NJ 07112
Position Type: Part-Time (25 Hours per week Monday-Friday 1:00pm-6:00pm)
Compensation: $35 per hour
Reports to: Site Managers, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21CCLC)
PositionOverview
The Newark Youth Career ALI-YMS Pathways Success Centers provide one on one help for students and families looking to gain access to college, career and other post-secondary options. The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) is a federally funded program supported by the New Jersey Department of Education. 21CCLC provides out-of-school-time programs, including before school, after school, and summer activities.
Site Managers oversee the daily operations of the NYCP 21C afterschool program, implementing enrichment activities, facilitating daily data collection, and submitting daily reports. Site Managers report to the NYCP Program Director and supervise a team of 4-6 Project Leads. This role is essential to the success of the school site and requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills. The Site Manager is passionate about supporting high school youth, coaching staff, and creating a positive student experience.
Key Responsibilities
Site Administration
● Oversee quality, comprehensive programming at the site during the school year
● Ensure site is in compliance with school, NYCP, and 21CCLC policies
● Maintain site data including student enrollment, daily attendance, and surveys
● Conduct monthly site meetings with school leadership to foster relationships, align afterschool programming with school priorities, and to collaborate when appropriate
● Attend weekly Site Manager meetings to discuss program wide initiatives, share site updates, and announcements
Staff & Site Management
● Manage assigned Project Lead staff including supporting the Program Director with scheduling, and reviewing and approving timesheet submissions
● Facilitate weekly team/site meetings at your designated school site
● Maintain an inviting, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and families

● Experience developing and facilitating workshops or group activities

● Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills
● Ability to connect with high school students and build positive relationships
● Excellent communication and teamwork skills
