This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven professional ready to accelerate growth across the North Texas and Oklahoma territories. You will focus on expanding the customer base within the acute care market, particularly hospitals, while strengthening existing business relationships and identifying new revenue opportunities. The role combines strategic business development, consultative selling, market analysis, and contract negotiation. You will work closely with account management and commercial teams to deliver tailored solutions that address customer needs. By promoting innovative and sustainable healthcare waste management services, you will help hospitals improve safety, control costs, and maintain regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact in a relationship-focused, data-driven environment.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with key performance indicators, revenue objectives, cost savings, and profitability targets.
- Expand the customer base across North Texas and Oklahoma, increasing market penetration and growing the regional portfolio of business.
- Build and implement an effective customer outreach strategy, using Salesforce as the primary customer relationship management platform.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet prospective customers, assess business opportunities, and strengthen client relationships.
- Maintain existing customer relationships and coordinate the transition of newly acquired accounts to account managers for ongoing support.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of the organization's products and services to communicate value propositions effectively to stakeholders at multiple levels within prospective accounts.
- Identify customer needs, map business strengths to client priorities, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare compelling business proposals that highlight competitive advantages and demonstrate the value of the services offered.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to draft, review, and negotiate customer contracts.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, potential revenue streams, and opportunities for territory expansion.
- Monitor local and international industry trends to assess their potential impact on business performance and market opportunities.
- Support existing portfolio management and identify opportunities to upsell additional products and services.
- Track sales activities, performance against targets, and territory development opportunities in collaboration with account managers.
- Prepare regular reports on business development results and continuously refine sales strategies to maximize performance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing effective business development strategies.
- Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, and customer engagement skills.
- Proven negotiation abilities and confidence managing commercial discussions and contracts.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate challenging customer situations professionally.
- Experience in hospital services or a related service industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Strong presentation skills and confidence in value-based selling.
- Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to encourage and motivate colleagues toward shared goals.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned North Texas and Oklahoma territory as required.
