Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to local labor market conditions, educational background, work experience, and relevant certifications
Job Type: Full-Time, Regular Permanent
Location: IB (International Baccalaureate®) Operating from Washington DC office, open to remote
About the Job
This role manages a portfolio of schools, groups, districts and/or school systems to strengthen partnerships, support high-quality IB implementation and enable sustainable growth. It ensures partners receive timely, coordinated support and that local insights and trends are shared back into IB to improve services and decision-making.
- Account Management, Partnership Planning and Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and deliver schools, groups, districts and/or school systems account management portfolio plan.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the portfolio.
- Maintain accurate account records (e.g., Salesforce) and share insights to improve partner support.
Partnership Management with School/System Leadership
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and represent IB in senior engagements.
- Act as the main point of contact and help partners navigate governance and change.
- Co-create partnership strategies with clear, mutual value for IB and local stakeholders.
IB Programme Development and Quality Support
- Provide proactive support across the programme lifecycle through 1:1 and 1: many engagement.
Use data and partner needs to connect schools with the right IB expertise, services and resources.
Support change and improvement initiatives and share themes with CP&D leadership.
Authorization and Evaluation Services
- Coordinate with service teams to ensure authorization and evaluation processes meet contextual school/school system needs and expectations.
- Provide clear context and priorities for visits and follow-up actions.
- Use outcomes and reports to shape ongoing support and portfolio planning.
Retention and Risk Management
- Identify retention and viability risks early and agree actions with partners and internal teams.
- Lead issue resolution and service recovery, including complaints and low satisfaction feedback.
- Manage attrition cases and apply policy consistently, using evidence and data.
Growth and Opportunity Development
- Identify and progress growth opportunities (e.g., new IB programmes and offerings, expanded cohorts).
- Build stakeholder understanding to support sustainable growth and advocacy.
- Connect partners to relevant IB offerings and networks (e.g., professional learning and consultancy).
Localized Strategy, Stakeholder Insight and Delivery
- Adapt portfolio and partnership plans to local strategy, policy and stakeholder context.
- Share insight on trends, opportunities and risks, with recommended actions for CP&D leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree (Education, Business or similar); Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in education leadership, school improvement and/or change management.
- Understanding of different school contexts (public, private and/or international) and how education systems operate.
- Experience managing partnerships or a portfolio of accounts, including retention, issue resolution and growth opportunities.
- Fluent in English; additional relevant local language skills are an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and turn insight into actions.
- Project and portfolio planning skills; relevant accreditation is a plus.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including presenting and influencing.
- Comfort working across cultures and functions, with a collaborative approach.
- Proficient with MS Office tools; experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) preferred.
