HR Business Partner
Job description
Hall’s Culligan Water is looking for an HR Business Partner to support our Eastern region. You'll be based at one of our largest dealerships in Columbus and spend much of your time at our locations across Ohio, Michigan and Tennessee.
This isn't a desk job. We want someone who learns how each dealership runs: how it makes money, where its people challenges are, and what its leaders need to be successful. You'll use that knowledge to solve problems with them. You'll be a trusted advisor to managers and employees, and you'll also protect the business by making sure people decisions are fair, consistent and compliant.
What You'll Do
- Travel to the various dealerships within the region to build strong, consultative relationships with dealership leaders, managers and employees across a multi-state region
- Learn the business inside and out, spot people challenges early, and bring practical solutions
- Guide leaders through the full employee life cycle, from hiring and onboarding to development, performance and separation
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance management and corrective action, making sure issues are handled fairly, consistently and lawfully
- Investigate concerns, find root causes and drive corrective actions that stick
- Carry out the organization's HR and talent strategy at the dealership level
- Process employee changes and terminations accurately and on time, with proper documentation
- Gather and analyze HR data, and share clear reports and recommendations with leaders
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years at the HR Generalist level or higher
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- We offer a base salary of $72,000-88,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR practices across multiple states preferred (OH, MI and TN experience is a plus)
- Multi-site, multi-state experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfort delivering tough messages
- Sound judgment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with little direction
- An outgoing, proactive style and the flexibility to shift priorities as business needs change
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, plus PDF editing tools
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly across the region
- Ability to pass a criminal background check per company requirements
Why Join Us
- You’ll receive paid time off (PTO) at a generous accrual rate.
- You’ll be eligible for a full benefits package, including a 401k with company match, following your introductory period.
- Comprehensive training provided. We'll teach you everything you need to know to build a successful career in the water treatment industry.
- We believe in upskilling our employees and promoting from within.
- Enjoy the stability of working for a trusted, growing company with a long history of serving customers and investing in employees.
