Overview

This position will be based out of our Centennial, CO location.

We are looking for a hands-on HR intern to support our growing team in construction and solar operations. This role offers real ownership across compliance, employee programs, recruiting, and HR systems, and is ideal for someone interested in a career in Human Resources. You will support employees across multiple states (Colorado and California).

This is a part-time, paid internship (15-25 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support compliance initiatives, including OSHA training tracking and DORA-related requirements
  • Maintain the license and certification tracker (OSHA, electrical licenses, apprenticeship hours) and follow up on expirations
  • Help maintain accurate employee records and documentation in our HR system (Rippling)
  • Support I-9 and E-Verify documentation and records retention
  • Assist in administering employee benefits (enrollment tracking, employee communication, documentation)
  • Support annual open enrollment and carrier enrollment files
  • Help coordinate recruiting efforts, including interview scheduling and candidate communication
  • Post jobs and manage applicants in Rippling and Indeed, including screening questions, candidate communication, and keeping the resume tracker current
  • Support employer branding initiatives (job postings, recruiting materials, improving candidate experience)
  • Support bi-annual performance review cycles in Rippling, including setup, tracking completion, and communicating with managers
  • Assist with onboarding coordination and employee communications

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology (Human Resources degree preferred)
  • Interest in a career in Human Resources
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, especially Sheets
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems (HRIS, tracking tools, documentation platforms)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Strong communication skills, including coordination with external partners
  • Self-starter who can take ownership of projects
  • Experience with HRIS systems a plus!

Pay for this position is $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience. Additional hours may be available depending on seasonality and business needs.
