Position Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator provides technical/professional level assistance and support to the Human Resources Department and the employees of the organization. Administers and coordinates daily personnel program(s), policies, and plans. Compiles human resources metrics/statistics, answers routine personnel questions; and maintains the human resources information system (HRIS).

Essential Job Functions/Accountabilities

Operates, maintains and troubleshoots the employee identification badge system.

Maintains records of personnel files and personnel-related data in both paper and the HRIS ensuring all employment requirements are met. Enters data into the HRIS including but not limited to new employee information, education, and training. This includes maintaining records of necessary contracted staff.

Completes employment verifications. Ensures employee license and certification compliance per regulatory standards.

Maintains various spreadsheets and assists with special projects as needed.

Supports the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, following up with candidates, conducting reference checks and various other functions of the onboarding process.

Assists with guiding employees through various Human Resource processes, answering any policy and routine questions.

Redirects calls and distributes correspondence to the appropriate team member.

Assists with planning and coordinating special events, specific awards and various recognition programs including but not limited to Quarterly Service Awards, annual employee recognition events, etc.

All other duties not specifically assigned.

Position Requirements

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Experience: Three (3) to Five (5) years of demonstrated experience in field or profession preferred. Prior Human Resources experience required.

Skills

Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle data with confidentiality. Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
