Job description

This role will be responsible for the ongoing enhancement and expansion of document-driven business processes across the enterprise. The position will work closely with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to automate manual workflows, improve data quality, increase processing efficiency, and support the organization's digital transformation initiatives.

Our Intelligent Automation Engineer:

  • Workflow Automation Development
    • Design, configure, enhance, and maintain workflow automation solutions.
    • Build and support process routing, approval workflows, business rules, notifications, and decision logic.
    • Configure exception handling and human-in-the-loop processing scenarios.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and optimize existing processes.
    • Document workflow designs and support operational procedures.

  • Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
    • Configure document ingestion, classification, OCR, extraction, validation, and exception handling processes.
    • Improve document recognition accuracy and processing efficiency.
    • Support invoice processing, financial document automation, and future document-centric business initiatives.
    • Develop and maintain validation rules, formatting rules, confidence thresholds, and data quality controls.

  • Integration Development
    • Support integrations between TotalAgility and enterprise applications including Oracle, mainframe systems, databases, and third-party services.
    • Configure and troubleshoot API-based integrations utilizing REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and file-based interfaces.
    • Develop and support database connectivity for data validation and workflow automation.
    • Coordinate with enterprise architecture and infrastructure teams on integration requirements

  • Business Partnership
    • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and process improvement opportunities.
    • Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions.
    • Facilitate testing, training, and production deployment activities.
    • Provide ongoing support and mentoring to end users and support teams.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Three (3) to (5) or more years of experience supporting workflow automation, business process automation, intelligent automation, or related enterprise platforms.
  • Experience developing low-code/no-code automation solutions and troubleshooting production business applications.

What we look for:

  • Experience with Tungsten TotalAgility (TTA).
  • Experience with Kofax Capture, KTM, or related Tungsten products.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable automation and invoice processing workflows.
  • Basic JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or C# scripting experience.
