Directs all operations of the mail center, including routing, postage, and management of staff. Assists Director overseeing major contract vendors and employees in the provision of various operations; grounds (i.e. landscaping, snow/ice removal/parking repairs; etc.); janitorial/custodial services; waste services; window washing; plant services; holiday decorations; etc., for both the Maritz north and south campuses.Working in the Fenton location, in office 100% of the time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee all mail center operations, including receiving, processing, storing, and shipping materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Manage the coordination of internal mail, USPS, and private carrier shipments while providing guidance on mailing and shipping procedures.
- Supervise daily mail center workflow, including staffing, scheduling, training, job assignments, and performance of mail center personnel.
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment, including postage metering systems, while managing inventory, billing records, and shipping documentation.
- Support facility operations by assisting with oversight of contractor-provided services such as landscaping, snow removal, parking lot maintenance, janitorial services, waste management, window washing, plant services, and holiday décor.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, departmental customers, tenants, and service providers.
- Monitor customer feedback and recommend service improvements to ensure operational excellence and value.
- Stay informed of industry and facility management trends to support continuous improvement and best practices.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent related experience.
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. Postal Service regulations and mailing processes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to learn and utilize mail center equipment, software, and operational systems.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical aspects of the role as needed.
Nice To Have
- Previous facilities management or vendor management experience.
- Experience overseeing contractor-provided services.
- Knowledge of inventory management and operational reporting.
Working Logistics & Things You Should Know
- This is a 100% onsite role located at our Fenton, MO campus.
- A valid driver's license is required, and a DMV check will be conducted as part of the background screening process.
- The position supports both mail center operations and facility-related services across the Maritz campus.
- This role operates on CST.
