This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an OBStat Sr. Business Development Executive based in the United States.
The Senior Business Development Executive will drive new client acquisition and strategic growth across the maternal healthcare and clinician staffing sectors. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to build lasting partnerships with hospitals, health systems, OB/GYN practices, and women's health organizations. You will own the complete sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery to proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution. Working in a complex healthcare environment, you will engage multiple stakeholders and develop tailored solutions that address evolving clinical staffing needs. By combining consultative selling, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration, you will help expand access to reliable obstetric care. This position is ideal for an autonomous, results-driven sales professional motivated by revenue growth and meaningful contributions to maternal health.
Accountabilities:
- Identify, prospect, engage, and convert new clients across hospitals, health systems, OB/GYN practices, labor and delivery units, community health centers, rural healthcare facilities, and women's health networks.
- Manage the full business development and sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery through proposal presentation, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder decision-making processes and maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle.
- Develop customized proposals that communicate the value of staffing solutions and address client needs, operational challenges, and business objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service structures that support client satisfaction and sustainable profit margins.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline aligned with quarterly revenue targets, tracking opportunities and progress through CRM platforms.
- Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities in maternal healthcare and clinician staffing to inform sales strategy and business development priorities.
- Provide actionable market intelligence to support strategic planning, operational investments, and continued business growth.
- Collaborate with Recruiting, Credentialing, and Scheduling teams to ensure client requirements are aligned with staffing capabilities and service delivery.
- Use CRM insights, automation, and AI-enabled sales tools to improve prospecting efficiency, pipeline visibility, and overall sales performance.
Requirements
- At least five years of successful B2B business development experience in healthcare, staffing, talent acquisition, or professional services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales processes, navigate multi-level decision-making structures, and close high-value business agreements.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, accountability, and the ability to manage a sales pipeline independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and modern sales enablement tools.
- Experience in locum tenens, physician staffing, or maternal health is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital operations, clinician workforce models, and healthcare staffing requirements is an advantage.
- Ability to articulate return on investment, communicate solution value, and develop proposals tailored to client needs.
- High professional integrity, balanced assertiveness, and a collaborative approach to working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilience, resourcefulness, optimism, and adaptability in a competitive, fast-moving business development environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
