Job description
Trueline is seeking a Project Manager - Multi-Family Door & Millwork to join its team in Kent, WA. This is an opportunity to own complex material and installation packages from submittals through closeout, with strong earning potential and room to grow as the company's project volume expands.
What You'll Do as the Project Manager - Multi-Family Door & Millwork:
- Manage large multifamily construction projects from early submittals and preconstruction through procurement, installation, and closeout.
- Review contracts, project scopes, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Own submittals, RFIs, ASIs, drawing revisions, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate purchasing and procurement for doors, hardware, millwork, and other assigned material packages.
- Manage material schedules to ensure products are ordered accurately and arrive when required.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall profitability.
- Communicate directly with general contractors, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate closely with internal field installation crews to keep projects moving.
- Visit active jobsites as needed to address field conditions, installation issues, and project coordination.
- Troubleshoot material, schedule, scope, and field challenges before they impact the project.
- Manage multiple projects and competing priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and communication.
- Support project completion, retention, and closeout.
- As you grow, provide direction and support to Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Collaborate across project teams and step in when another team needs support.
Must-Haves as the Project Manager - Multi-Family Door & Millwork:
- Construction project management experience or substantial Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager experience with readiness to step into a PM role.
- Experience supporting larger commercial or multifamily construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction project coordination and lifecycle management.
- Experience managing or supporting budgets, procurement, schedules, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, drawing changes, and change management.
- Ability to coordinate material procurement and delivery requirements.
- Experience communicating directly with general contractors, customers, vendors, or other project stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with field installation or construction teams.
- Strong organization and ability to manage a high volume of moving parts.
- Ownership mentality with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work primarily onsite in Kent, WA, with a sustainable local commute.
Nice-to-Haves as the Project Manager - Multi-Family Door & Millwork:
- Project management experience with doors, architectural hardware, millwork, or Division 8 scopes.
- Multifamily construction experience.
- Specialty subcontractor background.
- Experience with hollow metal doors and frames, finish carpentry, panic hardware, fire/egress doors, or related building products.
- Experience managing large material packages.
- Experience overseeing several million dollars in annual project volume.
- Local Seattle-area construction relationships.
- Experience coordinating directly with installation crews.
- Previous responsibility for project profitability.
- Experience mentoring or overseeing Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers.
This Role Offers:
- Base salary of $90,000-$125,000, depending on experience.
