If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Tulsa, OK location, the Tank Pressure Management organization is looking for a contributor who will be an integral part of our New Product and Product Modification project teams. This position will lead engineering tasks for major projects, provide technical product design support to Operations, Suppliers, and Sales, and be involved in modifications and new designs. The Senior Design Engineer will be directly involved in developing global engineering resources and working collaboratively across the Pressure Management organization.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Review and evaluate design-related production problems while evaluating product improvements, cost reductions, and change implementation
  • Provide engineering and technical support to other departments, customers, and suppliers
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate activities on projects while supporting the functional participants such as designers, technicians, and engineers
  • Review and maintain product files for appropriate records on all assigned products
  • Design and develop new products or product modifications on existing products; develop project schedules and acceptance criteria
  • Perform and support analysis of assigned products including stress, flow, force, and tolerancing using FEA, CFD, GD&T, and other engineering tools
  • Explore opportunities to cost contain and reduce in both existing products and product modification activities

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • GD&T knowledge and functional experience
  • Skilled in 2D Drafting and 3D Modeling
  • ERP experience

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous experience in valve design
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes
  • Experience with ISO 16852, API 12, API 650, and USCG Arrestor Standard
  • Skills in the use of PLM Software; Team Center specfically
