Accounting Assistant
Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to assist Senior and Property Accountants with daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks as needed. This position will monitor and execute requested resident and client transactions including but not limited to: ledger adjustments, deposit reconciliations, data entry, and auditing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with AP/AR responsibilities, including check runs, receivables, and data entry.
- Assist with ledger adjustments
- Deposit reconciliation responsibilities
- Data entry responsibilities
- Assist Property and Senior Accountants with auditing.
- Additional duties as assigned
Basic Requirements and Work Experience
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associates Degree or Bachelors degree in an accounting field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a professional setting is required. Multi-family/property accounting experience is preferred.
- A willingness to learn.
- Proactive work ethic and strong listening ability.
- Strong time management skills with an ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- A willingness to come in every day and help us find a way to improve upon the previous day
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency is required. Prior experience with Yardi Voyager and MS Office Suite isstrongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 15 pounds occasionally
- May require driving between company locations
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive Salary in the range of $56,500-$60,000 per year
