Ivy Tech seeks qualified adjunct faculty to supplement the design technology instruction needs of our students at the Evansville, IN campus. The Design Technology program at Ivy Tech offers the latest hardware and software and emphasizes technical rigor and design foundations. It covers topics such as Mechanical design, Architectural design, and Computer graphics. Adjunct instructors for this program work with students who may pursue a careers as a Drafting technician or designer, Technical designer, Architectural designer, Mechanical designer, or Graphic designer.
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.

Major Responsibilities:
Candidates considered for adjunct positions under this postings must be able to provide instruction in person at the Evansville, IN campus.
PROGRAM OPERATION:
- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
- Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
- Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
- Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Hiring Range:
- $45.00 per contact hour (approximately $2,160 per 8-week course).
Work Hours:
- Courses run on an 8 week term. Fall semester starts on August 25, 2025. These classes may run during the day or in the evening.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be located to teach in-person at the Evansville, IN campus
- Possesses a baccalaureate degree, or higher, in technology, engineering, engineering technology or a baccalaureate degree, or higher, directly related to the program’s discipline
- Three years of directly related work experience to the subject/field being taught.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience providing instruction at a post-secondary institute.
