Merrick, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Administrative Assistant to provide essential support across multiple departments, including HR, Accounting, and Development. Serving as the first point of contact at our front desk, this role ensures a professional and welcoming experience for visitors and staff while maintaining smooth office operations, accurate recordkeeping, and timely administrative support.

Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the HR, Accounting, and Development departments as assigned.
- Maintain and organize both electronic and paper files to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and easy retrieval of information.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain databases, ensuring records are current and reliable.
- Record and track all payments and donations received by mail.
- Maintain office supply levels for the 3210 building and place orders as needed.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper handling, postage, and distribution.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff member in a courteous and professional manner.
- Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate individual or meeting location.
- Maintain the guest register and coordinate conference room scheduling to support staff and visitor needs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Professional communication and customer service skills with the ability to welcome and assist guests in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, including the ability to:
- Enter, organize, and maintain data accurately.
- Use Excel functions such as formulas, sorting, filtering, and creating simple reports or charts.
- Strong general technology skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
