Job Description
The Intake Administrative Assistant is accountable for handling inquiry calls coming into the Intake Department, updating the bed board , scheduling assessments, obtaining necessary signatures from patients, and thorough communications with department nurses and the admissions department staff and other non-clinical duties as assigned.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate knowledge and skill in provision of services to various populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting.

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a human service, social service, psychiatric, or mental health setting, performing administrative duties, telephonic triage and inquiries, and customer service.
- CPR with AED (CPR/AED) certification must be current and a copy of your certification must be presented to Human Resources upon hire.
- You must successfully complete the Fremont Hospital’s non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.
