Position Description
The Probate Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in researching for estates, property in decedent’s name as well as assets and obituaries. They assist in reviewing estate claims for timely filing of documents per procedures. The Probate Research Administrative Assistant will also be assigned a variety of projects as needed and expected to complete them in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Functions
- Estate research, property searches, asset searches, obit searches.
- Assist in reviewing estate claims for quality and eligibility for filing.
- Works assigned accounts in an accurate, timely, and complete fashion.
- Assist in the handling of attorney mail coming directly to the Probate Department.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein
- Report any discrepancies regarding an account to management.
- Participates in special projects as assigned by department management
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions to perform any other job-related duties requested by any person authorized to give instructions or assignments.
- Conforms with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
- Performs all other related duties incidental to the work described herein
