Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This position requires strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. The Billing Assistant will work closely with various departments to ensure timely collection of payments and resolve any discrepancies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable and collections
- Analyze billing data and prepare reports for management review.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding billing inquiries and payment terms.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support corporate accounting functions.
- Maintain organized records of invoices, payments and account balances
- Support the accounting team with other administrative tasks as needed.
- Answer incoming phone calls, route them appropriately, and respond to client inquiries.
- Monitor and respond to incoming emails promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, administrative finance and/or office reception work.
- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
- Strong negotiation skills for resolving billing disputes effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills
- Strong math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone and email manner.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
