Job Summary
The Business Development Coordinator will support the sales team by driving sales initiatives, generating leads, and helping to close new business opportunities. This role is critical in providing administrative and sales support, maintaining client relationships, and executing strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals. The ideal candidate will proactively engage with industry professionals, manage the sales pipeline, and contribute to the firm's growth through consistent outreach, event participation, and strategic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Relationship Management
o Conduct at least 2 in-person meetings per week with real estate agents, lenders, or builders in one-on-one or small group settings.
o Maintain 75+ weekly touchpoints through calls, texts, emails, social media messages, and follow-ups.
o Perform regular office drop-ins at real estate offices to build rapport, check in with partners, and distribute marketing materials.
o Ensure consistent follow-ups with clients to nurture and strengthen relationships.
o Provide industry insights, market updates, and valuable legal information to referral partners.
- Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain and update the CRM system daily, tracking all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline movement.
- Track progress toward weekly, monthly, and firm-wide sales goals and adjust strategies as needed.
- Add all meetings, events, and appointments to personal and shared calendars to ensure proper scheduling.
- Participate in a monthly performance review to evaluate progress and refine outreach strategies.
- Event & Networking Engagement
o Attend at least one networking event per week, such as broker open houses, board meetings, association events, happy hours, or industry gatherings.
o Research and identify key targets before attending BC-hosted events.
o Manage RSVPs and invitations for networking functions.
o Arrive on time and actively engage with industry professionals.
- Brand Representation & Social Media Engagement
o Represent the firm professionally in all interactions, both online and in person.
o Engage with industry professionals through LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, liking, commenting, and sharing target content.
- Professional Development & Training
o Participate in at least one sales training or development activity per month, such as a podcast, book, course, CRM training, or internal workshop.
- Accountability & Reporting
o Consistently track and report progress toward sales goals through CRM and weekly check-ins.
o Complete all assigned tasks within designated timelines to ensure efficiency and productivity.
o Collaborate with attorneys and the marketing team to maximize business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing; real estate industry experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and other business development tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to craft clear, persuasive proposals and correspondence.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
