Overview
To select, train and supervise residential life staff and manage the operational functions in De Sales Residential Hall. Provide services directly to students such as personal and developmental counseling, and cultural and educational programming. To coordinate administrative operations and help maintain liaison relationships with other school officers. Participation in the overall planning and management of the De Sales Boarding Program.
Main Responsibilities
● Responsible for the supervision of all staff working in De Sales Residential Hall.
● Responsible for the coordination and administration of De Sales Boarding Program, including both student development and operations components in the De Sales Hall.
Be the guardian of international students who live in the dorm
● In charge of the recruitment and training of residence hall staff in accordance with school goals and objectives.
● In charge of the development and implementation of Residential Life goals for the school year.
● Create and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy living environment for students.
● Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential life program, including dormitory supervision, meal services, and maintenance.
● Serve as a counseling resource for staff and students in dealing with specific residential problems. Be aware of special needs and concerns of minority and international students and engage in the development and implementation of efforts to address these needs and concerns.
● Establish and maintain communication with students living in the residential hall through individual contacts, meetings and discussions.
● Develop and maintain awareness of community issues for students in the residential hall through communication with residential staff and student prefects and initiate efforts to respond to such issues.
● Manage the operational functions for the residential hall: key distribution, damage assessment, maintenance requests and hall openings and closings.
● Assume “on-call” responsibility for the residential hall as needed and on a scheduled basis.
● Participate in the overall planning and management of the boarding program and provide input in the development of policies and procedures.
● Report regular updates on the boarding program to the head of regional operations.
● Collaborate with the international student services team to address and respond to parent and stakeholder concerns.
● Collaborate with academic staff, counseling services, and other departments to provide holistic support to students.
● Manage the budget and resources allocated to the residential life program, ensuring efficient and effective use of funds.
● Handle disciplinary matters and address any behavioral issues that may arise within the residential community.
● Plan and organize special events, activities, and workshops to enhance the overall student experience in the residential community.
● Stay informed about best practices in residential life management and continuously seek opportunities for professional development.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
