Manager on Duty, ensures operations run smoothly each night and that the standards and communications between departments are running efficiently. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to leading and supervising the front office associates, and other department staff when management is not present; as well as addressing and resolving guest concerns & complaints, Maintenance duties . Ensuring all quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied. Responsible for cash handling and deposits from all departments.
Schedule: Fulltime 5-6 days per week, Part time 3-11pm 2-3 day per week

Education & Experience
- Previous departmental management/supervision experience in hotel or related field preferred; reservations or sales experience preferred
- Must be proficient in usage of computer software and various Windows-based programs
- Strong language communications skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Opera Cloud a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Light work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and move about the property
Critical Thinking Skills
- Be able to positively motivate and lead a team
- Be able to accurately and effectively communicate information to other departments verbally and in writing
- Be able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the guest
- Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by staff members
- Be able to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions

Lighthouse Inn, owned and operated by the Stone Family since 1938, is a 68 room, full service oceanfront resort located in West Dennis on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The Inn employs seasonal workers from mid-May to mid-October and offers the opportunity to interact with guests and other staff from many different places with diverse interests.
