We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst to join our global finance team. This role supports the preparation and analysis of financial statements and investor reporting across a complex portfolio of private securities and alternative investment vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment fund accounting and reporting, a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and a proactive mindset toward process improvement.
This is a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting that meets the firm’s standards of excellence and regulatory compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for private funds and alternative investment vehicles in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
- Coordinate with internal portfolio management, legal, and operations teams to gather relevant financial data and disclosures.
- Work closely with external auditors, fund administrators, and service providers to facilitate audit processes and resolve reporting issues.
- Support the preparation of investor reports, capital account statements, and regulatory filings (e.g., Form PF, AIFMD, FATCA/CRS).
- Perform variance analysis, trend reviews, and ad hoc financial reporting as requested by senior management or investor relations.
- Maintain and enhance financial reporting controls and documentation in alignment with SOX and internal compliance standards.
- Assist in implementing new reporting tools, automation processes, or system upgrades to streamline financial reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACA, or CFA designation (or progress toward) is strongly preferred.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, fund accounting, or audit—preferably within a global investment firm, fund administrator, or Big Four accounting firm.
- Deep understanding of private equity, credit, or alternative investment structures and their accounting implications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with reporting systems (e.g., Investran, eFront, Workiva, Black Mountain, Geneva).
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS reporting requirements for investment entities.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and geographies.
