The Role

We're searching for a Manager, Financial Reporting to join Remitly’s Finance team, reporting to our Director, SEC & External Reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual contributor with a bias for action who is excited by the opportunity to make a big impact in a fast-paced and high-growth mission-focused Company.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare SEC, regulatory, and statutory financial statements in accordance with the relevant financial reporting framework

  • Maintain the chart of accounts

  • Perform technical accounting research and prepare the relevant documentation to support financial statement disclosures

  • Support program management for the financial reporting process

Assist with:

  • Coordinating the financial statement audits and reviews;

  • Fulfilling statutory audit and financial reporting requirements;

  • Preparing internal and external financial reporting packages;

  • Performing internal controls over financial reporting and ensuring operating effectiveness of these internal controls.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, or similar experience, and 6+ years of professional experience in an accounting role

  • Public accounting experience with public company clients required, CPA strongly preferred

  • Financial reporting experience for a public company preferred

  • Strong technical accounting background

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and remain agile to changing and growing business needs

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $116,000 - $135,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
