Office Manager/Front Desk Agent
HealthSource of De Zavala is a small, fast-paced, and dynamic medical practice in San Antonio, TX. We are currently seeking an Front Desk Associate to join our team. The Front Desk Associate will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and facilitating patient visits. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a friendly, warm, and engaging personality.
- This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as you will interact with patients, vendors, and other employees on a daily basis.
- They'll also support our off-site marketing team, in scheduling marketing events with the Doctor's calendar.
- Lastly, they will be helping patients sign up for treatment plans prescribed by the Doctor through various payment models.
Billingual is a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Greeting patients and answering questions about services
- Scheduling appointments
- Checking patients in out of the clinic
- Checking patients out of the clinic
- Verifying insurance information is correct before scheduling appointments
- Collecting payments from patients for services rendered
- Entering data into patient management software system
- Maintaining cleanliness of front desk area, including checking for litter, papers, etc.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or other managers in the office setting.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate's degree required.
- At least one year of experience working in a medical office setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of other office equipment and equipment use is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multitasking skills are required to perform tasks on time with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, patients and vendors. This includes but is not limited to referring patients to another physician or to schedule appointments with providers when necessary. This position requires excellent verbal communication skills as you will have interactions with patients, vendors, and other employees on a daily basis.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
